I have lived and worked in Yorkshire my whole life. I trained as a learning disability nurse in Calderdale between 1987 and 1990 undertaking placements in a wide variety of settings across Calderdale and Huddersfield. After qualifying I went to work for Calderdale social services before joining St Anne’s Community Services in 1992.
St Anne’s is a third sector organisation based in Leeds but working across Yorkshire and the North East providing high quality care support and housing to a wide range of people in different settings.
Since joining St Anne’s I have held a variety of different posts and I was appointed as Chief Executive in October 2011 after a period of acting up.
Life outside work is also busy. I live with my husband and two daughters on a small holding on the outskirts of Halifax.
