I have been at Involve Yorkshire & Humber since November 2005. I work four days a week.
My role encompasses a range of work, with a focus on bringing together voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to support and develop stronger networks. I co-ordinate the organisation's work on:
We also ensure that the sector has the information it needs in the right format, whether through producing regular news bulletins or organising events and seminars.
Since graduating in 2001 with a degree in Management my jobs have included being an employment officer for Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, supporting adults with learning disabilities into paid employment and co-ordinating a large learning and employment partnership programme in Camden.
When I’m not at work I sing with the Huddersfield Choral Society and play the flute and piano. I’m also a trustee of Bradford Action for Refugees.
