I became a trustee of Involve Yorkshire & Humber in 2010 on retiring from a 30-year career in banking, which included a period as the Senior Manager for the Charity Bank responsible for Yorkshire & Humber. I now have a portfolio of roles including being a part-time Financial Ombudsman and various non-executive directorships and trusteeships, particularly in charities working with young people. Having been mainly employed in the private sector, I am able to bring a strong combination of business and financial skills, to support Involve Yorkshire & Humber as it seeks to build relationships with the private sector in the current challenging financial environment. In my spare time I am a volunteer at a National Trust property and a member of my local Mountain Rescue team.
