A joint event hosted by the Yorkshire and Humber Rural Network and the Houses of Parliament Outreach Service looking at how to influence and scrutinise legislation affecting local government, your parish or town council. The workshop will focus on current legislation that has had an impact on local government, influencing legislation currently passing through Parliament and the role of Committees and scrutiny. 

The Houses of Parliament Outreach Service will talk you through what current legislation may affect your community, how to influence it and how to effectively get your views heard within Parliament.

Craig Whittaker MP will be speaking about his first hand experience about raising local government issues in Parliament.
