Are you a member of Involve's Learning and Skills VCS Network? Or are you a voluntary organisation that would like to take part in a day of free training on how to run meetings and events virtually, to save travel, time and money?
The Training Day will introduce you to the freely available programmes that will enable you to set up and attend meetings and events virtually. Training will be provided by Tara Phelan, the e-learning Manager at Shipley College, who works with adults at their own pace so that the learning sticks. Delegates will be taken through the step by step process of using the programmes and each attendee will be able to purchase a webcam and headset for less than £10.
Helping to run the day will be some Technology Beacons - these are individuals who have already been through the training and will be on hand on the day to help, and also available after the Training Day to assist you with further learning on the system or to help new members to learn.
Virtual meetings and events may not fully replace the pleaseure of face to face conversation, but if you and your staff are already declining invitations in order to save travel time and money, virtual solutions are the future.
A small car park is available, disabled spaces are available to book. There is some on road parking and some pay and display. There is a large free car park at nearby Salts Mill. Train travel to Saltaire is a good option, turn right out of the train station along Victoria Road, the Salt Building is five minutes walk on the right.
This meeting is free and lunch will be provided.
To register you place please complete and return this booking form before Wednesday 4 July.
